2016 Scholarship Application

SELECTION: Students aSimon Estes Scholarshipsre encouraged to apply for scholarship by their high school advisors if their grades are excellent but their chances for further education appear limited by financial constraints. An in-house Selection Committee screens all applications and the Directors of the Foundation then interview semifinalists. Students selected as Estes Scholars may attend any accredited college or university of their choice on a full-time basis, without restriction to course of study. Selection Criteria

  • Documented financial need
  • 3.5 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale
  • A well-defined motivation to pursue a higher education curriculum
  • Maturity and sense of purpose essential to a demanding educational experience
  • A personal sense of constructive values
  • Permanent residence within 30 miles of metro Tulsa

Scholar Maintenance Requirements

  • Maintain a 3.0 GPA each semester
  • Submit a grade transcript to the Foundation each semester
  • Maintain scheduled contact with the Foundation and sponsors, if applicable
  • Volunteer at least four hours of community service, annually
  • Annual scholarship reapplication
  • Avoid any negative conduct that would bring reproach upon the Foundation or the scholar
