The Simon Estes Educational Foundation Mission

The Simon Estes Educational Foundation, Inc., a multiracial, nonprofit Oklahoma organization, is committed to promoting higher educational opportunities in any discipline for graduating high school seniors, primarily in the Tulsa area, by providing scholarships made possible by charitable contributions. Special consideration is given to African American; Asian/Pacific Islander; Hispanic; and Native American students.  However, all applicants exhibiting scholastic excellence, financial need, and high moral standards are eligible regardless of race, religion, sex, or ethnic origin.In the last twenty-five years, the Foundation has raised in excess of $3 million in actual grants and future commitments for 305 scholarships.

Scholars have attended such prestigious colleges and universities as Baylor, Brigham Young University, Cornell, Eastman School of Music, Emory, Fisk University, Harvard, Howard, Indiana University, Langston University, Loyola, The Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Morehouse, Northeastern State University, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State University, Oral Roberts University, Ozark Christian College, Rice, Scripps College, Spelman, St. Louis University, Texas Christian University, Trinity University, University of Central Arkansas, University of Central Oklahoma, University of Denver, University of Kansas, University of Michigan, University of Missouri at Columbia, University of Missouri at Kansas City, University of Oklahoma, University of Southern California, University of Texas at Austin, Texas A. and M. at Corpus Christi, The Master’s College, Tulane University, The University of Tulsa, Vanderbilt, Washington University at St. Louis, Webster University, Westminster, Wheaton College, William Jewell, and Yale.
